Why Should I Hire a Professional?

Ok so you've decided that you really want a wedding video, but you're just not sure about spending money on a professional. Here are a few reasons why you might want to consider hiring a Professional Videographer:
Think about it, you don't bypass hiring a professional photographer because you think to yourself, "I will just make sure everyone brings their cameras!" Oh sure, everybody's got a family member or friend with a video camera who would be willing to tape your wedding, but first you might want to ask yourself: "Just how much of the floor and ceiling do I really want on my wedding video?" Not to mention the sound you get from a typical video camera: sometimes it's hollow and can be very difficult to hear...especially in large open areas like a church or reception hall where sound reverberates off the walls and ceiling. If you are going to have your wedding videoed, you are going to want to make sure that you can hear everything going on.
Despite "Uncle Joe's" good intentions, an amateur just cannot capture your unique celebration the way a trained and experienced professional can.

  • Professional videographers invest thousands of dollars in cameras, microphones, and editing equipment to capture the best images and sound.
  • Another thing to consider is the professional etiquette that is needed to honor the sacredness of a marriage ceremony or that's necessary to work with the other professionals that you have hired. A professional Videographer knows how to work hand in hand with your other vendors (i.e. your Photographer, DJ, Wedding Coordinator) to ensure that everyone is able to do the best job that they can for you. Photographers and Videographers tend to cross paths often throughout the wedding while trying to capture the perfect shots. Having two professionals that know how to work in correlation with each other will only better the end results for everyone.
  • With a professional you usually have more than one camera. So when the footage from both cameras are edited together your wedding video has shots from different angles catching the best of each moment.
  • Hiring a professional company will also enable you to be able to send as many copies of your special day to friends and family as you want.
  • Most importantly, hiring a professional will ensure that all of the above points are completely covered and so much more.
You will never regret investing the money to hire a professional video specialist to produce your wedding video. Even if you are still a little unsure about spending the money on a professional, schedule a few consultations with a few different videographers just to see what their company offers. You've got nothing to lose.
